Julia Carpenter is a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee who enjoys facilitating connection and emotional well-being in her clients through an empathically attuned relationship. Her work is anchored in psychodynamic and humanistic theoretical approaches; however, she incorporates a variety of theories and techniques depending on the unique needs of each client. Julia works from a trauma-informed approach given that many individuals have experienced deep trauma. Additionally, Julia’s extensive training in mindfulness, somatic awareness, and the creative arts allows her to integrate those practices into the therapeutic process to facilitate deeper insight and self-knowledge. Julia strives to cultivate a safe, authentic, nonjudgmental space for children and adults of all backgrounds.
