Eating Disorder Support as a Secondary Mental Health Concern
At Felicity Mental Health, our primary focus is on treating mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and mood disorders through our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). We understand, however, that many individuals living with mental health challenges may also struggle with disordered eating patterns, body image distress, or past eating disorder behaviors.
While Felicity Mental Health is not a specialized eating disorder treatment facility and does not treat individuals in active or severe eating disorder stages, we offer ongoing support and maintenance for clients who have already completed higher levels of care or who may be experiencing mild symptom recurrence while in recovery.
How We Support Clients in Recovery
Our team works collaboratively with each client to address the underlying emotional and psychological factors that contribute to disordered eating and body image concerns. Within our scope of care, we provide:
Individual and Group Therapy focused on emotional regulation, self-esteem, and identity beyond the disorder.
Trauma-Informed Treatment to address the root causes that often drive disordered eating patterns.
Relapse Prevention and Maintenance Support for clients in sustained recovery.
Mindfulness and Body Connection Work to rebuild a compassionate, trusting relationship with the body.
Collaboration and Referrals — When clients require specialized medical, nutritional, or residential eating disorder treatment, we coordinate care with trusted community providers to ensure safety and continuity.

Our Philosophy of Care
We believe that recovery from an eating disorder extends far beyond food—it’s about healing the thoughts, emotions, and experiences that shaped one’s relationship with self. At Felicity Mental Health, we help clients strengthen their mental and emotional resilience, build self-compassion, and address co-occurring issues such as anxiety, depression, or trauma that may threaten their recovery.
Felicity Mental Health provides a safe, compassionate space for clients to continue their healing journey—supporting emotional growth, mental clarity, and self-acceptance for lasting recovery.
